Project overview

This factory assembly case documents how a portable slim SEG lightbox moves from packed components to a finished illuminated display. The purpose of the test was not simply to make the frame stand upright. The team checked the connector sequence, base stability, LED operation, cable routing and the fit of the double-sided fabric graphics before the system was prepared for shipment.

For an exhibitor, this sequence answers the practical questions that product renderings often miss: What arrives in the case? How many people are needed? Are tools required? When should the LEDs be tested? Can the graphics be changed for a later show? The following photographs show the actual process.

What arrives in the trolley case?

Frame profiles, connectors, feet, power components and protective inserts organized in the trolley case.

Each standard set is supplied in a wheeled trolley case so the separated profiles and accessories remain organized between events. The 6 m models are divided across two cases/cartons. Before assembly, the installer should compare the numbered or marked components with the layout, check the power supply and cables, and confirm that no connector has shifted during transport.

Two-person, tool-free frame assembly

Two installers organize the numbered frame profiles, base feet, connectors and power parts before assembly.

1. Lay out the aluminum profiles in their approximate final positions and keep the LED-facing surfaces protected.
2. Join the perimeter sections with the integrated 90-degree corners and flexible snap-fit connectors.
3. Install the reinforced base feet before raising the frame, then add the horizontal and vertical stabilizing members.
4. Connect the large-format center connector and route the electrical leads without pinching or twisting them.
5. Raise and square the frame with one installer supporting each side. Confirm that every snap button is fully engaged.

The system does not require additional tools for normal assembly. Two people are recommended because wide frames need controlled support while the long profiles and center connectors are aligned. The exact installation time depends on the selected width, height, team familiarity and whether the graphics and electrical checks are included.

The structural details that make repeat setup practical

Lighting test before installing the graphics

Pre-shipment lighting test of the assembled frame before the double-sided SEG graphics are installed.

Before fitting the fabric, the assembled frame is powered on to check the LED strips, wiring and illumination around the perimeter. Testing at this stage keeps the electrical parts visible and makes any connection easier to inspect. A sensible pre-shipment check includes:

• Confirm that every LED section illuminates.
• Inspect connectors and cable joints.
• Check the frame for twist and verify that the feet sit flat.

Installing the double-sided SEG graphics

The team inserts the silicone edge of the fabric graphic into the frame channel after the lighting test.

The printed graphic has a silicone edge sewn around its perimeter. Installers press that edge into the corresponding channel in the aluminum frame. Working from the corners toward the centers helps distribute tension and produces a smooth face. The same process is repeated on the reverse side for a double-sided display.

The exact silicone-strip width and the final fabric specification should be confirmed against the ordered frame and artwork template. These details are intentionally not generalized because the graphic must match the production channel accurately. When a campaign changes, the aluminum frame and lighting system can remain in service while a replacement fabric graphic is produced.

With correct handling, dry storage and protection inside the trolley case, the aluminum frame is designed for more than two years of repeated use. Service life is not the same as the warranty period: the formal product warranty is two years. The exact warranty remedy, exclusions and shipping responsibility should be stated in the final quotation or sales agreement.

For repeat exhibitors, the primary cost advantage is separation between hardware and artwork. The frame, feet, connectors and LEDs can be retained, while the double-sided graphics can be replaced for a new product launch, language or event. Individual components can also be assessed before replacing a complete display.
